Primary on the right: The Radical Party maintains its support for Alain Juppé

Laurent Henart, President of the Radical Party, and Hervé Cael, President of the Radical Party’s Alpes-Maritimes Federation, are calling on the French to massively support Alain Juppé: Bringing France together is not just about uniting one’s own camp.

The Radical Party campaigned in the primary organized by The Republicans to ensure it was widely open. In this time of civic crisis, we are pleased with the strong turnout, which reflects our fellow citizens’ desire for change.

Looking towards the second round, we are calling for massive support in favor of Alain Juppé.

Our main objective is to ensure political change while averting the extremist threat. To qualify for the second round and, if necessary, defeat Marine LE PEN, only Alain Juppé can rally a broad majority of the French beyond the current opposition.

It is also about having a President tomorrow who thinks only about action and not about re-election, like Alain Juppé, who is committed to serving only one term.

Lastly, the French want a President who keeps his commitments. No tax cuts funded by deficit and debt, but rather the balancing of public accounts, which is so essential. Dismissing any spirit of revenge, and being able to accept societal reforms that are of our time.

Hervé Cael, President of the Radical Party (UDI)
