As part of the Summer for Seniors program, the city of Nice organized the 2011 Short Story Contest, inviting those over 60 to take up the pen and write a story on the theme of the Mediterranean.
Christian Estrosi will present the awards to the winners on Monday, November 7, 2011. The awarded stories will be compiled into a volume published by the City of Nice and made available to readers in the municipal library network with a regional focus in the city of Nice.
The “Short Story Contest” was open from July 1 to August 31, 2011. Participants were required to write a text of about 4 typed pages or 7 handwritten pages, approximately 15,000 characters.
The jury consisted of a journalist, Marie-Claire Grassi (Professor of Comparative Literature at the University), Jean Emelina (Professor of Literature at the University), Raoul Mille (Writer), and Jean-Michel Galy (Senior Lecturer at the University).
