Raid Latécoère: two eaglets take flight

Latest News

This Wednesday, March 8 at 4:00 PM at the Opera – Foyer Montserrat Caballé

The Latécoère Raid, the longest air raid in the world, has brought together enthusiasts, both pilots and non-pilots, every year since 2008 who are eager to cover a legendary route, that of the airmail service, and wish to support solidarity projects in favor of youth.

Two 24-year-old women from Nice, Nelly Bianchi and Nelly Dewez, will take on the challenge and follow in the footsteps of the airmail service in Africa aboard their single-engine aircraft, a Robin DR400, under the name “Aiglettes de Nice.”

From September 14 to 30, they will connect Toulouse to Dakar, flying over Spain, Morocco, Mauritania, and Senegal.

In addition to the aerial adventure, these two enthusiasts will participate in a humanitarian mission by distributing packages.
