Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, wished to officially acknowledge the sporting performance of the youth of OGC Nice, winners of the Gambardella Cup final, played at the Stade de France yesterday, during a reception held in their honor at Villa Masséna, this Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in the presence of his Deputy for Sports, Gilles Veissière.
This victory, the first since the creation of OGC Nice, is the result of relentless daily work by the training center’s staff and an especially determined effort by these aspiring young talents, who are on the rise.
-The Gambardella Cup is a competition open to first teams of the 18-year-old category (U19 in FIFA terms) of French football clubs. It is organized by the French Football Federation (FFF).
