Furthermore, for private palm trees, the COPIL Azuréen is starting a new campaign of inspection and surveillance within a 500-meter radius around this capture point, in order to detect any potentially infested palm trees with the teams of volunteers from the citizen Civil Reserve.

This diligent monitoring and control work, combined with preventive treatments in high-risk areas implemented in Nice since the first infestation case in January 2011, helps to prevent any spread of the infestation in this territory.

Nice, as a pilot city, will organize free training sessions on detecting visual symptoms in the coming days to help private owners monitor their palm trees and ensure good coordination in the fight.

Residents of Nice are invited to monitor their palm trees weekly, and if they have any questions, they can contact the Allo Mairie agents at 39.06. These agents can provide them with all the necessary information on this subject.
