It was on this Monday, November 14, that the beginning of geotechnical studies took place for the redevelopment works of Place Wilson. These works are being implemented to create an underground parking lot, alongside the redevelopment of the surface gardens.
This extensive redevelopment work includes the construction of an underground parking lot with 550 spaces. Furthermore, a police headquarters will be installed, alongside the planned realization of axis 2 of the Gioffredo/Hôtel des Postes green corridor.
The Mayor himself was able to witness the commencement of these works and is particularly optimistic. This project aligns with the greening policy to adapt to an ecological transition. These works will free up 67 parking spaces, allowing for the creation of a vegetated and tree-lined park, which will align with the tree charter. The garden will thus expand from an area of 2000 m² to 5000 m², which will also enlarge the playground. The Mayor also wishes to install a counter of trees planted in Nice. This will allow the people of Nice to see the efforts being made in real time for this ecological project.
These works are not merely a construction project for a new parking lot. They also reflect the desire to continue the ecological greening policy of the city of Nice. A significant new project for Christian Estrosi, motivated to advance in his ecological endeavors.
