According to sources from the national press, Jacques Bompard, the deputy mayor of Orange (Vaucluse), is going to present a list in the regional elections in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur under the banner of the Southern League.
The deputy mayor of Orange has stated this intention: “It is not the Southern League that declares war on the National Front but rather the FN that has declared war on the Southern League,” he announced.
Is he targeting the many veteran militants who feel betrayed by the absence of the FN’s founder and the marine shift of Marion Maréchal Le Pen whose list will not even have the party’s logo but will be called “Plein Sud”?
Will this list be the container for these dissidents?
Jacques Bompard leaves the question open: “We can work with all those who want to,” he affirms.
In any case, it will be without the traditional allies from the Identitarians’ movement, as they have chosen change and joined Marion Maréchal Le Pen’s list.
