Renewal of the “Child-Friendly City” label for Nice

UNICEF has once again awarded the “Child-Friendly City” label to Nice. A morning of activities took place on Wednesday on the Promenade du Paillon to celebrate this news.


This label “recognizes the city’s commitment to children, teenagers, and young people in Nice.” The actions of the City of Nice in various fields were showcased on the morning of Wednesday, October 20, at the children’s play area of the Promenade du Paillon.

The activities started at 10 a.m. Their aim was to inform adults and to entertain children.

The new agreement with UNICEF was also signed. On this occasion, political figures were present: Anne-Laure Rubi, Deputy Mayor of Nice responsible for Family and Early Childhood, Marie-Pierre Lazard, Deputy Municipal Councilor to the Council of Rights and Duties of Families, and Valรฉrie Peuch-Spencer, President of the UNICEF Azur Mรฉditerranรฉe Territorial Committee.

In addition, the municipality and the UN agency organize activities such as the Serge Alzetta dance school ballet in Nice, games about children’s rights, creative workshops, a food-themed event with fruit distribution, and a workshop to explore flavors and colors. Activities for children aged 0-6 and sports initiatives are also set up.
