To continue: “For Dominique de VILLEPIN, this candidacy indeed appears as a necessity given the situation of our country and the severe economic, financial, and social crisis that strikes our fellow citizens head-on.”

“What about social justice, what about employment, what about growth, our factories, our suburbs?”

“Faced with this situation, Dominique de Villepin does not believe that the usual game of political parties is suitable.”

“Moreover, his analysis is clear: ‘What about social justice, what about employment, what about growth, our factories, our suburbs?’ The Republic, especially when it is in crisis, needs to come together. What I want is to bring together all the French, those on the left, those on the right, that’s my Gaullist ideal.”

Brigitte Ferrari concludes by saying: “It is therefore with République Solidaire, which is resolutely above political parties, that Dominique de VILLEPIN wishes to appeal directly to the French people.”

“I have confidence in the ability of the French to discern what is the general interest and to what extent more than ever national unity is imposed on us all,” declared the former Prime Minister.
