Resize your photos

Latest News

The weather was beautiful and you took some splendid photos. You wish to share them with your friends. But how can you easily send them by email?

Digital cameras are becoming more and more efficient at an ever more attractive price, offering excellent image precision on most devices in the market, notably a significant number of MEGA-PIXELS.

Indeed, this is important if you intend to print your photos or make a poster or a large banner. This precision will be necessary for a good quality paper print.

However, this precision is completely unnecessary for display on a computer screen and often burdens your email inboxes when you receive these same non-resized photos. Indeed, while a standard computer screen often has a resolution of 1024×768 pixels, or 1280×1024 on a 19-inch screen, digital cameras take much larger photos.

Here is a small software/tip to resize your photos very easily and quickly to send them by email.

Let’s start by downloading it by clicking this link:
– [Download Image Resizer (521kb)](https://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe)

Once downloaded, double-click on the downloaded file and follow the assistant to complete the Image Resizer installation.

Open file explorer (Windows+E key) and open the folder containing your freshly downloaded photos from your digital camera.

Select all your photos (CTRL+A or go to Edit>Select All).

Right-click on one of the selected photos and choose RESIZE PICTURES from the context menu.

Choose the size for your resized photos, for example, Large (1024×768), and click OK.

After a few seconds, new photos will appear in the folder. These are your resized and compressed JPG photos. You can now send them by email.

Our advice: compress them into a ZIP file before sending them by email!
