After the presentation of the “on the field” day’s schedule, organized in close collaboration with the Alpes-Maritimes Road Safety authorities, participants will engage in various awareness workshops that will provide them with essential experiences for the realization of their projects.

3:00 PM โ 5:00 PM: Two workshops will be conducted simultaneously:
– Workshop led by the National Police in a site within the Nice agglomeration including participation in a real road control specifically aimed at combating the use of mobile phones while driving, disregard for traffic lights, and failure to wear helmets on motorcycles and seat belts in cars. This control will be preceded by a briefing intended for the police officers participating in the operation, which the middle school students will attend.
โ Workshop aimed at raising awareness among young General Council advisors about riding two-wheelers including a 25 to 30-minute road circuit as passengers on motorcycles piloted by experienced civilian drivers and escorted by law enforcement motorcyclists.
Created in November 2004, the Youth General Council, which includes 52 middle school students, one per canton, is an important information relay on topics that directly affect middle schoolers. Through this council, Mr. Christian Estrosi, Secretary of State for Overseas Territories and President of the Alpes-Maritimes General Council, wished to give voice to the youth by actively involving them in the life of the department, entrusting them with the means to carry out projects, and enabling them to provide a new perspective to the elected officials of the Departmental Assembly.
In January 2007, the Youth General Council was installed for the second time with 52 new young elected officials.
