The upcoming regional elections will take place on December 6th and 13th, 2015. This still leaves time to think about whom we will support.
For the young members of the University Life Collective of Nice, their choice is clear; they support Christian Estrosi in his fight up to the regional elections.
The Collective was created by a true local from Nice, Romain Cardelli, aged 24, who holds a Master’s degree in Climate, Risks, Environment, and Health from the Geography Faculty of Nice.
They are passionate about several projects for the youth of the Azur region and also for the youth of France. In particular, in the educational field, they believe “many training programs are no longer adapted to needs and lead to unemployment. Some sectors are saturated. Others are being downgraded.”
Also for the youth, they have ideas regarding employment and public transportation, ideas that seem to align with those Christian Estrosi mentions for his campaign.
Romain Cardelli has been involved in politics for about 3 years. He first came into the spotlight in March 2014 by being on the 12th position on the Nice Bleu Marine list in the municipal elections. Last May, he preferred to support the Republicans, being more profoundly right-wing, like himself, as opposed to “the strategic drift of the National Front,” which he found, especially economically, to be ultimately similar to the extreme left. Additionally, new actors joining the FN party with quite extremist values didn’t please Romain either in his decision-making process.
Today, with the University Life Collective 06 and the Republicans, Romain says he has found his path.
We will follow their projects and thoughts over time until the elections.
