The 24-year-old international will be loaned by FC Sevilla for a season. According to him, the club has “an ambitious project.” The player, who has previously played for Manchester City, wants to be useful to the team and be able to play.

Rony is proud to be able to play again with the coach he knew at the start of his Premier League career. He hopes to renew that experience. “I have good memories from when I was at Manchester City, I learned a lot from the coach (Patrick Vieira), and I can continue to learn.”

The former Citizens’ coach remembers a committed player ready to give his all for the club: “I have very good memories of Rony at City, the passion he had for football. My memory is that Marco was the first to arrive and the last to leave. He loved staying and spending time on the pitch. He made every effort to succeed.”

The new recruit took the opportunity to discuss his season at FC Sevilla and the difficulties he encountered. “It was a complicated season for me, I didn’t play much, but I only remember the positive. I learned a lot during my time in the Spanish league. I was in a good group. Sometimes in life, things work out, and sometimes they don’t. In Sevilla, it didn’t work out, but that’s the past. I’m now looking to the future.”

The coach wanted to reiterate his ambitions and upcoming objectives. “This year, we’ll have the chance to play in the European Cup. We have a squad with players who want to leave or who will want to leave because they haven’t played enough. There are discussions. My goal is to help young players like Andy Pelmard or Flavius Daniliuc progress.”

The club president, Jean-Pierre Rivรจre, did not provide details about possible future departures: “We have a group. We might need to lighten it so the coach can work as effectively as possible.”
