For the 4th year, CDOS 06 is investing in children who do not go on vacation.
The Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee of the Alpes-Maritimes, as part of the social and civic actions it develops, wanted to set up a program to bring 40 children with supervisors who do not go on vacation this summer to the stage of the Sports Caravan in Roquesteron, this Friday at the sports park hall, in collaboration with the French Popular Relief of the Alpes-Maritimes.
CDOS 06 takes care of the entire trip and the day for these young children from the neighborhoods of Nice.
They will be able to spend a day in the village of Roquesteron and thus enjoy the “Sports Caravan” event, allowing them to discover and get initiated into different sports, recreational, and civic activities under the guidance of qualified educators and in compliance with health and safety measures.
“The Sports Caravan is a sports initiation event but not only that,” says CDOS 06 president Philippe MANASSERO. “Our goal is also to promote social bonds and convey the values of respect, friendship, sharing, and solidarity. Simply put, the values of Olympism to these children, who will have quite a bit to share with their parents after this beautiful day of sports vacation.”
