For the 18th consecutive year, the Forum Jacques Prévert association brings the arts to the streets to transform the city of Carros into a canvas for expression and creation over a long weekend.
Much more than a mere event marking the cultural life of Carros, the “Roulez Carros!” festival also kicks off the live performance season.
During 3 days, 12 companies will present 25 performances of theater, circus, music, or dance, inviting the public to dream, reflect, laugh, and move!
Three clowns from all around the world will surprise us with their burlesque antics, the CIA will pay tribute to Jean Jaurès with an engaged show dedicated to his life, while Les Batteurs de Pavés will give a fresh, participative take on Hamlet.
The company L’Ambre will immerse us in the emotion of the second installment of “L’homme du dehors,” which was welcomed last year in a creative residency.
The public will also be invited to dance: to the festive music of Courir Les Rues, to the enchanting rhythms of Rara Woulib, and during a large participatory ball organized by Les Eclats.
They will be able to tinker with the playful installations of Guixot de 8, have songs whispered to them for a pizzicato, or be lifted up by the girls of Lady Cocktail.
Finally, spectators will be engaged this year during “blabla lemonade” breaks to discuss the unique experience of encountering live arts.
