Theater Takes Center Stage!
At Théâtre Georges Brassens, you can enjoy “Le bonheur au travail,” a hilarious comedy that is likely to resonate with everyone. The pressure from the boss, an edgy company, and the result is employees being scapegoated. (Friday, October 5th at 8:30 PM) “La nuit des dupes” by Michel Heim will occupy the same stage as the previous play but for something entirely different: a comedy steeped in French History. Imagine D’Artagnan and Louis XIII united on stage to save the royal lineage, or almost. (Friday, November 9th, and Saturday, November 10th at 8:30 PM) And theater isn’t done taking you on a journey through the versatility of a richly colored palette of emotions. Plays from the Avignon Off Festival are on the lineup: “La secrète obscénité de tous les jours” by Marco Antonio de la Parra, “Escroc Thérapie” by Maxime Thevenon, and “L’amour est dans le poste” by Maria Ducceschi.
Music: To Be Enjoyed Without Moderation
Pure talent with noble instruments: Solenne Paidassi and Laurent Wagschal promise ecstasy through their violin-piano duo. (Espace Stéphane Grappelli, Saturday, October 20th at 8:30 PM). Does Franz Liszt ring a bell? Discover a piano concert in tribute to France Clidat, nicknamed “Madame Liszt.” (Auditorium France Clidat, Friday, November 16th at 6:30 PM and 9 PM) Then, it’s the baroque style that invites you to its table with the young Baroque Ensemble of Provence; from Vivaldi to Bach, remember your classics. Music will flow in Saint-Laurent-du-Var to ensure you never lose the rhythm throughout the seasons with: a harp competition, traditional Christmas concerts, “L’Echappée belle” by Johanna Piraino, or even “Le jardin de rêve” in spring by the Jeunesses Musicales de France.
