Towards a Tobacco-Free France by 2030: the city of Nice is getting involved today!
Fighting against cancer is one of the priorities of health policy, especially with the implementation of the Cancer Plan, as well as strong actions in prevention, screening, and treatment.

The city of Nice actively participates in all local and regional measures aimed at protecting populations and fully supports the actions implemented by the League Against Cancer.

Having signed the Killers-Payers petition last November, which calls for the tobacco industry to compensate for part of the damage caused by tobacco from their profits, Christian Estrosi has spontaneously volunteered to make Nice the first city in France with a certified « Tobacco-Free Beach® ».

« Tobacco-Free Beach® » is a variation of the national label « Tobacco-Free Space® » created by the League Against Cancer. The purpose of this label is to offer the public, in partnership with local authorities, areas not covered by the smoking ban of the Bertrand decree, where smoking will be prohibited by municipal decree.
