– Christian Estrosi, Member of Parliament – Mayor of Nice, President of Nice Côte d’Azur, Eric Ciotti, Member of Parliament, President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, and Danièle Desens, President of the CAF of Alpes-Maritimes, will sign the departmental charter for welcoming young disabled children in early childhood establishments.
– The city of Nice has been providing families for several years with a specific unit for welcoming disabled children within early childhood establishments. This unit connects families/care teams/establishment teams around a personalized welcome project for the child and their parents.
– Genuine political will of the city of Nice, this partnership offers a human response, close to the concerns of families.
The staff is trained for this type of welcome, and additional specific jobs have been created to supervise groups of children in the establishments for everyone’s well-being.
– A charter to guarantee quality welcome for ALL children.
This departmental charter is the result of a consultation, within the CDAJE (Departmental Commission for the Reception of Young Children, chaired by Anne Sattonnet), between different communities of the 06 based on common experiences in this field.
By signing this charter on Friday, the city of Nice suggests that its commitment encourages other managers of early childhood establishments in the department to adhere to these professional practices, which bring about improved quality in welcoming disabled children.
