Following Sophie Duez’s decision to resign from her positions as a member of the Nice Municipal Council and the Nice Côte d’Azur Community Council last week.
Christian Estrosi, Minister in charge of Industry, Mayor of Nice, and President of Nice Côte d’Azur, offered her the position of project manager within his office, specifically for the Sang Neuf Project, the conversion of the old refrigerated slaughterhouses.
Sophie Duez, eager to “continue the experience of being an artist at the service of the city, which had already led her to participate in the public service mission of the National Theatre of Nice by joining the permanent troupe in 2002,” accepted this new role.
Starting today, as Director of the Sang Neuf Project, the actress aims to “further the ongoing reflection by exploring questions about new forms of cultural emergence, in support of urban transformations.”
