In his speech, Christian Estrosi aimed to justify this award: “Volunteers, educators, leaders… without them, sports associations could not function or even exist. They are the foundation of the sports movement in our city. Rewarding them gives meaning to their actions and the passion they share every day.”

The mayor of Nice highlighted the importance and impact of associative and sports activities for young people: “Through these medals, I want to recognize the commitment of the 3,500 volunteers who work every day in Nice to keep the clubs alive and give our youth the means to build themselves in the most beautiful way.”
