Stade du Ray: The residents want to get involved…

Latest News

The future of the Stade du Ray and the surrounding area will be a significant issue in Nice. With elections on the horizon, Christian Estrosi has not been mistaken in recognizing this and has wasted no time. Thus, with the PLU adopted in 2010, the area is classified as a “dense urban zone,” allowing for constructions of up to 21 meters.

ray_nice-2.jpg On October 11, the Municipal Council deliberated the launch of a public consultation.

Initiated by communist councilors Robert Injey and Emmanuelle Gaziello, questionnaires were distributed in the neighborhood to better inform residents and gather their opinions.

According to the two councilors, “one thing is certain, Christian Estrosi will have to consider the frustration caused by the false-consultations. There is a lot of discontent in the neighborhood.”

In short, the aim is not to repeat the well-known method of “listening but not taking into account.”

Robert Injey and Emmanuelle Gaziello are determined to remain vigilant to avoid this being the case for this issue, which is set to be exciting just a few months before the municipal elections!

The electoral campaign is already in full swing…
