The Nice Carnival welcomes every year many visitors from all over the world. On the schedule are carnival parades, flower battles, and other festivities to discover until March 3. Relive this first day.
Ready, set, go! The first parade awaited by many spectators from around the world took place yesterday, officially marking the beginning of the 2024 Nice Carnival. Under the theme of “Pop Culture,” the parade, consisting of floats, troupes of dancers, and international artists, paraded in a festive atmosphere.
Leading the procession: the king, the queen, and the Carnavalon launched the parade. This year, fourteen floats inspired by “Pop Culture” paraded from Place Masséna, along the Coulée Verte, and ended up on the Promenade des Anglais.
The public turned out in numbers on this first day of the carnival parade. Thousands of visitors are expected during these two weeks of festivities.
