Students come to the aid of children: charity event for “Children of Asia”

Latest News

And what if it were possible to find oneself, for an evening, on the banks of the Mekong, on the other side of the world?

This is the challenge taken on by five students from the Professional Event Communication degree at the IUT of Nice Sophia Antipolis.

As part of a study project, the five students (Jessica, Laura, Anaïs, and Célia) wanted to support the “Enfants d’Asie” association by organizing a charity evening on March 23rd at the Espaces Antipolis in Sophia Antipolis.

This evening will take place in the form of an Asian dinner (appetizer, starter, main course, and dessert) in a warm and exotic atmosphere.
Throughout the evening, Asia-themed activities will liven up the dinner. A raffle will also be organized that evening, with many valuable prizes at stake. The profits from the raffle
will be entirely donated to the association.

Founded in 1991, the Enfants d’Asie association helps orphaned or distressed children in Southeast Asia.

It operates in around fifty centers (children’s villages, schools, homes, orphanages) in Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

The association meets the essential needs of the most disadvantaged children:

  • Nutrition
  • Accommodation
  • Medical care and prevention
  • Emotional support

It helps them build their future: education, vocational training, student scholarships, computer classes, teaching of French and English… Enfants d’Asie also intervenes in emergencies: sheltering street children, aiding children who are victims of violence, helping families… Today, thanks to sponsorships and donations, the association assists nearly 10,000 children through a range of programs that ensure comprehensive care for the most vulnerable populations.
