On July 6, 2011, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the back room of the “Espace Chaud” bar, 30 rue de France in Nice
The concept of the “Cafés de la République” is to provide a physical space for information and communication to citizens who are concerned about the issues our country has been facing for many years and who are interested in the analyses developed by “Debout la République” and the solutions proposed by our new party.
These meetings take place monthly in a specific café in the city, known by all, always on the same day such as, in Nice, on the first Wednesday of each month (the day when the city’s alert sirens are tested) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Each meeting of the “Cafés de la République” consists of several phases, the first being the presentation of a strategic topic by an appropriate DLR activist, in order to simplify its apparent complexity (often maintained by the political-media system) into simple reasoning appealing to everyone’s common sense.
This is followed by a question-and-answer session on the key topic chosen to eliminate any “blind spots,” then an information session regarding the general political situation and the actions taken by DLR, specifically with a view to the 2012 elections.
The first meeting of the “Café de la République” in Nice is scheduled for Wednesday, July 6, and will address the economic and monetary aspects related to the Euro, the single currency, and will explain why:
– The concept of a single currency cannot work in the current Euro zone;
– The overvaluation of the Euro, in the ongoing global currency war, severely penalizes most of the Eurozone economies, particularly that of France;
– The independence of the European Central Bank from any political power makes the European monetary system… undemocratic with the known negative consequences on employment in particular.
