As a teaser for the upcoming “Italy on the Table” exhibition, the schools in Nice will take on a transalpine flair with a photo contest and a lunch featuring Italian flavors.

The students of the nursery and elementary schools in Nice will have to wait until May 28th before they can taste the delights of Italian cuisine on the Quai des Etats-Unis. Indeed, for 10 years, the City of Nice, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce (www.ccinice.org), has offered an Italian menu to the 23,000 students in municipal cafeterias on the occasion of the famous exhibition.

This year, the children from the 70 elementary schools are participating in a photo contest themed “My Most Beautiful Photo of Italy”: participants have submitted a photo taken in Italy.

From April 13 to 23, the photos will be displayed in all the municipal cafeterias of Chef Ratatouille.

The younger children from the 20 nursery schools are also involved, participating in the creation of the contest posters.

On Friday, May 22, thanks to the invaluable collaboration of INALPI (www.inalpi.eu), 100 prizes will be awarded to the contest winners, in the presence of French authorities.
