From October 10 to 16, the Consulate General of Italy in Nice renews its commitment to culture.
The theme of this edition “Italian and Creativity: Brands, Fashion, and Design” will be the common thread of a series of events organized at the Garibaldi Theater of the Consulate General of Italy, as well as in other locations on the Côte d’Azur and the Riviera dei Fiori in Italy, with representatives of Made in Italy and young Italian artists in attendance.
This Monday, at 6:00 PM, the Week of the Italian Language will open with a guest of honor, a pioneer in Europe in the field of Structured Creativity, Professor Hubert Jaoui. During the debate with Professor Sabino Lafasciano, under the theme “I create, therefore I am,” he will guide the audience in discovering Creative Thinking.
On Wednesday, October 12, at 6:00 PM, the same venue will host an event dedicated to Fashion and Art, with the presence of Barbara Borsotto, Artistic Director of Maison Daphné of Sanremo, and designer Elisa Leclé. On this occasion, Haute Couture pieces from the two invited brands will be presented around an exhibition showcasing the creations of the renowned fashion house, inspired by the colors of the Côte d’Azur and the Riviera dei Fiori. The evening will be animated by Professor Raffaella Ranise.
On Thursday, October 13, two events will take place during the day. At 6:00 PM, in the prestigious Le Mas Candille Hotel in Mougins, Made in Italy will be at the heart of an evening dedicated to Brands and Design with a conference on the evolution of the Fiat 500, an undeniable icon of Italian excellence in the world.
On Friday, October 14, at 6:30 PM, for the event dedicated to Creativity in the fields of Music and Literature, the Garibaldi Theater will welcome two young Italian talents, writer Serena Santorelli, who will present her latest book “In punta di cuore,” and singer, musician, and composer Ermal Meta, who was a revelation at the 2016 Sanremo Festival, and will perform songs from his album “Umano.”
This event, in partnership with the City of Sanremo, will be held again at the closing evening, Sunday, October 16, at 7:00 PM, on the stage of the prestigious Sanremo Casino Theater.
