For the past 6 years, as part of the Printemps des Poètes, the city of Nice has been offering a Poetry Forum that allows everyone, both children and adults, to express their talents as poets.

The 18th edition of the Printemps des Poètes, up until March 20, with the theme “THE GREAT 20th, a hundred years of poetry”.

This year, the theme of the Forum is “the great 20th or the dream of freedom”. From Apollinaire to Bonnefoy, a hundred years of poetry! Perhaps never before have so many significant and unique works been created in a single century.

A hundred years of poetry!

A vast program, which at the Mediterranean University Center (CUM), invites us to dive in feet-first with the BAL company for a musical, poetic, and culinary reading, to follow in the footsteps of a Mediterranean Guillaume Apollinaire whose childhood and adolescence in Nice profoundly marked his work, and finally, to listen to a dual-voice reading of texts by Maurice Genevoix and Ernst Jünger, offering two perspectives on the great war.

The Louis Nucéra Library, for its part, enchants with a concert performance by the poet-composer, fortune-teller Jacques Rebotier and offers the staged portrait of the poet of human tenderness Francis Carco, and invites a reading by poets from the Amourier publishing house of an anthology of 20th-century poetry.
