The Music Festival is approaching. This year, the Villa Arson is actively participating in the event. It offers a music program in the prelude to the exhibition “The Time of Listening.” Many musicians are participating, including Super Reverb, a group invited by Arnaud Maguet, the event’s organizer and producer of the group. He has a very strong opinion about the event.
“The Music Festival is a huge joke! It’s the saddest concept in the world!” There’s no doubt, Arnaud Maguet, organizer of the music program “The Time of Listening,” has a very personal opinion of the event. Needless to say, all the people of Nice are eagerly awaiting it.
Free concerts throughout the city only happen once a year. That’s also what Arnaud laments: “Nice is a sad city. There’s always ‘an old person’ complaining whenever there’s too much noise. We don’t have any concert hall where we could organize music events outside of this festival. There’s the Volume, but it can fit 150 to 200 people. Then there’s the Nikaia. What we want is a hall that can accommodate at least 500 people!” Indeed, the concept of local and accessible music in small concert venues is sorely lacking in the city. “The worst part is that it’s not a priority for the city council!”

In Biot, the town hall is organizing a rock evening from 6 PM, Arcades Square. Performances by students from the Arts and Culture Space, Champollion, starting at 9 PM, and Le Cri de la Langouste from 10:30 PM.
In Cagnes-sur-Mer, the reggae group Root la Kaz will get the audience moving in Castle Square from 9 PM.
In Cannes, Blue Cocktail will showcase French variety music starting at 8 PM at Commandant Maria Square, while the Minnesingers of Antibes will introduce their European music from 6:30 PM at Saint Georges Church.
In the perfume city – Grasse – The Fanfare 12°5 will try to entertain with its fanfares. Meet at Bd. du Jeu de Ballon, Aires Square, and Herbes Square from 8 PM.
In Menton, the city’s association for music development presents an eclectic evening of rock, hard rock, and rap with The Taylors, Nazbroke, and Gazoline.
In Saint-Laurent-du-Var, a rock and variety music concert is organized at the Esplanade des Goélands from 8:30 PM. Local young bands Nosens, Ad Libido, and Red Cina Band will perform.
A change of style in Villeneuve Loubet. Soul Power will get the crowd grooving at Verdun Square from 8 PM.
