To promote electromobility among local authorities and intercommunalities, UGAP, the La Poste Group, and AVERE France have launched a France-wide tour of electric vehicles.
This national tour, supported by the Association of Mayors of France, will stop at Sophia-Antipolis on September 20. The goal is to provide elected officials, public buyers, and electric transport project managers with a practical understanding of the electric vehicle industry, allow them to test the vehicles, persuade them of their utility, and address their questions.
Thus, electric mobility has become a reality. Now, electric vehicles developed by car manufacturers provide a concrete, technically efficient, economically attractive answer that is suited to the diverse specific needs of local authorities (public transportation, construction machinery, intervention vehicles, etc.).
Financially, while electric vehicles are still considered expensive, the reality today is different with many advantages that should encourage local authorities more than ever to adopt them: reduction in fuel costs (approximately 2 euros of electricity for a 100 km journey), decreased maintenance costs, ecological bonus of up to 7,000 euros following the recent Automotive Recovery Plan by the State, and for vehicles acquired through group purchasing, commitment to buyback.
On this occasion, a roundtable on electromobility will take place focusing on the topic of group purchasing of electric vehicles, sharing experiences on early deployments within local authorities.
Present will be Alain Borowski, President of the Union of Public Purchasing Groups, Joseph Beretta, President of Avere-France, Raymond Llanes, Regional Delegate of the La Poste group in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and Louis Nègre, senator mayor of Cagnes-sur-Mer and rapporteur of the green paper on electric charging infrastructure
