Meet at Saint-Roch square from 3 PM for the traditional Palhasso World Championship.
The goal is to throw the Palhasso, a straw man from Nice, as far as possible with the help of a sheet.
The championship will conclude with the referees’ awards and the merenda nissarda.
The world record has been held since 2007 by the team Lu Poetas: Joan Piccinelli and Romieu Martin, with a distance of 15.30 meters.
The palhasso is a puppet into which you put all the grievances, hassles, worries, stress, etc., accumulated over the year, and it is thrown as far as possible by a team of two to start the year fresh and forget these difficult moments.
