30 years after their creation, the Restos du Coeur continue their mission by distributing balanced meals every year. Last year, 128.5 million meals were offered.
Since 1985, more than a billion meals have been served to those in need.
This chain of solidarity will launch its winter season this Monday at the Dabray Street Center, with the presence of its president, Mrs. Anne Froment, and Eric Ciotti, president of the Department 06.
The association, created in 1985, aims to help those in need and to participate in the fight against exclusion, particularly through food aid and support in the effort for social and economic integration.
Its activities are based on volunteers who mobilize to improve the daily lives of people in great difficulty.
In the Alpes-Maritimes, 16 reception and distribution centers are open, including 4 in Nice. The premises of the Dabray Center, which has 36 volunteers, are made available by the Department of Alpes-Maritimes, which subsidizes the association each year.
The 31st winter campaign of the Restos will end in March 2016.
