The traditional Strawberry Festival is celebrating its 41st edition this year. It is unquestionably the flagship event of Carros and attracts numerous visitors – and food enthusiasts – from all over the department each year.
A multitude of activities is scheduled for both young and old at the Louis Frescolini square in Plans de Carros. A karaoke evening “Carros Voice” is planned for tonight at 7:30 PM, and an evening with pistou soup and musical entertainment is also scheduled for Saturday night.
On Saturday, May 2nd (afternoon) and Sunday, May 3rd (all day), visitors can enjoy a large sale of strawberries from the Carros canton as well as a small market of local producers.
There will be no shortage of activities for both young and old, including an animal farm, pony or carriage rides, introductions to circus arts and archery, and culinary workshops.
On Sunday afternoon, there will be dance and capoeira demonstrations provided by local associations, following the honorary aperitif, speeches by elected officials, and the tasting of a giant pan bagnat.
