This Saturday, March 11, at 10 a.m. at Villa Masséna, the 50th Departmental General Assembly of the National Association of Members of the National Order of Merit will be held, in the presence of Philippe Pradal, Mayor of Nice, Knight in the National Order of Merit.
On this occasion, they will host as guests of honor Count Maurizio Monzani, National Secretary General of Italy in Rome of the National Association of Italian Chivalry Orders ANIOC, the Companions of the Orders of Merit of the Italian Republic (Liguria, Lombardy, and Piedmont) and Raffaele De Benedicts, Consul General of Italy in Nice.
A wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial will take place in memory of the victims of the July 14, 2016 attack, followed by the French and Italian anthems.
The National Association of Members of the National Order of Merit
Founded on July 27, 1972, the National Association of Members of the National Order of Merit was recognized as a public benefit organization in 1987. Its headquarters are in Paris. Its motto is “Honor, Solidarity, Memory.” The ANMONM section of Nice and Alpes Maritimes was the first in France, established in 1967.
The mission of ANMONM is to ensure the influence and prestige of the Order in all locations, to maintain and develop the moral and civic values associated with the status of a companion, to strengthen the bonds of solidarity among members of the Order and practice individual and collective assistance, to participate in the national duty of remembrance and encourage its practice, and to develop the spirit of citizenship and civility (particularly among the youth).
