The 51st Monte Carlo Television Festival Announces the Winners of the Prestigious Golden Nymph Awards

The winners of the prestigious Golden Nymphs were announced at the 51st Monte-Carlo Festival.

The Golden Nymphs reward a variety of categories ranging from television films, mini-series, TV series, documentaries, news to a number of special awards, including the International TV Audience Award, the Prince Rainier III Award, and the International Red Cross Committee Award. All these prizes were presented during a ceremony attended by a plethora of celebrities at the Grimaldi Forum.

Among the stars who graced the five days of the Festival with their presence were actors from the most popular TV series, such as Call me Fitz, Criminal Minds, Desperate Housewives, Game of Thrones, Greyโ€™s Anatomy, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Misfits, Rookie Blue, Shameless, Merlin, and The Mentalist along with numerous French and international stars.

Tonight, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco was joined on the red carpet by a large number of American and international celebrities: Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives), William H. Macy (Shameless), Owain Yeoman (The Mentalist), Bonnie Bedelia (Parenthood), Patrick Duffy and Heather Tom (The Bold and the Beautiful), Jason Priestley (Call Me Fitz), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), Matthew Gray Gubler and Thomas Gibson (Criminal Minds), Jesse Williams (Greyโ€™s Anatomy), Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife), Tracey Bregman, Judith Chapman, and Daniel Goddard (The Young and the Restless), Laz Alonso (Breakout Kings), Emilia Clarke and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones), Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence (Melissa & Joey), Corey Stoll (Law & Order: Los Angeles), Anthony Head and Katie McGrath (Merlin), and Travis Milne, Charlotte Sullivan, and Gregory Smith (Rookie Blue).

The Deputy Vice President of the Monte-Carlo Festival, David Thomatis, stated: โ€œThis year, we received numerous entries from around the world for our competition and I am very pleased to see so many international winners awarded with Golden Nymphs. The 51st edition of the Festival was a great success, and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated this year.โ€

Premieres and the many lavish receptions organized by major television networks and studios were the highlights of the 51st Monte-Carlo Festival, set in the magical atmosphere unique to the Principality of Monaco.

This year, more than 300 journalists from around the world were present to cover this unique international television Festival, attended by the creative forces of this industry.
