On the occasion of Sustainable Development Week, Fnac is launching the new edition of the Great National Fnac Collection in all its stores in France.
Until the 11th, the cultural brand invites the public to come and drop off their books, in good condition, at the store.
The goal: “to give books a second life,” which will be used to create or stock libraries, serving disadvantaged populations around the world, thanks to the initiatives of the NGO Libraries Without Borders, a partner in the operation.
With this national operation, Fnac aims to spark a collaborative dynamic and mobilize the public and its members for the development of libraries, an essential educational vector for all populations. This operation will help to promote and support cultural diversity and access to culture for all by creating and stocking reading spaces.
Last year, more than 200,000 books were gathered and shipped by Libraries Without Borders, especially for the establishment of libraries in reception centers for people in severe poverty.
