UncommonMenFromMars
This half-French, half-American skate-core band was formed in 1998 in the United States. Influenced by punk bands such as NOFX and the legendary Burning Heads, the group released 4 albums and 4 EPs over ten years, during which their stunning live performances definitively established their reputation. This year, they prove it to us by participating for the first time at the Polytech Festival.
Debout sur le Zinc
It is both the first stage and a poem by Prévert at the same time. Thus, the seven musicians of DSLZ passionately provide both a visual and auditory spectacle. Watching them, so different yet moving in harmony, one perceives one of the foundational principles of their music: the Mix.
Sinké Zakéou
It is an adventure with electric influences. It is a desire to share, to communicate, to create in a festive atmosphere. That is why the ElectrySkaFestyFoualéFamily is sweating it out in their rehearsal space to concoct a blend that defies norms and clichés. The expression of moods is felt in music that mixes styles, and though ska is the ancestor of reggae, Sinké makes the journey in reverse in order to redraw the genre in the Zakéou style.
Les Gars dans le Coin
From ska punk to gypsy music, passing through rock, funk, jazz, reggae, and hardcore rap, the styles parade and merge in an atmosphere of musical libertinage, oscillating between self-mockery, bittersweet commitment, and a meticulous quest for the right sound. With frenetic rhythms, a keen sense of harmony, effective melodies, and playful, crazy lyrics… Do not relegate Les Gars Dans l’Coin to the background, they deserve the spotlight!
