The FACE 06 (Fédération des Associations et Corporations Étudiantes des Alpes-Maritimes) celebrated the 10th anniversary of AGORAé, a social and solidarity grocery store, on Wednesday.
This solidarity grocery store, located at 9 rue d’Alsace Lorraine, is managed by students for students. It allows the most disadvantaged among them to access goods at greatly reduced prices, as low as approximately 15% of supermarket prices. The service is accessible based on social criteria.
In addition to combating food insecurity, it also fights against social isolation by organizing events and supporting students in their projects.
Since its creation, the first AGORAé in France has helped 1,300 students. Last year, 300 young people benefited from it.
Last night, the 10th anniversary of AGORAé was celebrated in a friendly atmosphere within the store.
