The Alpes-Maritimes Department is canceling all its public events due to the risk of a second epidemic wave.

After the series of measures announced by Christian Estrosi yesterday, it is now the turn of the President of the Departmental Council of Alpes-Maritimes, Charles Ange Ginésy, to make the decision today to proceed with the cancellation of all public events.

“In light of the resurgence of the COVID-19 epidemic in Alpes-Maritimes, all public actors must take the necessary measures to limit the spread of the virus and protect the most vulnerable populations. Therefore, I have made the decision today to cancel all public events scheduled to date by the Departmental Council of Alpes-Maritimes,” announces Charles Ange Ginésy.

This decision thus affects the Heritage Days scheduled for September 19 and 20, whose cancellation was specified the day before, the senior animation program of the Department, the Autumn Seniors concerts, as well as the 16th edition of the “C’est Pas Classique” Festival initially scheduled for December 4 to 6 at the Acropolis.

“This reasoned decision prioritizes the health of the Maralpins as the absolute priority. Our second priority remains the departmental economy, and this also invites us to make this choice in order to avoid heavy health measures that the Government could take, which would directly impact businesses,” specifies the President of the Department.

A logical new announcement that aligns with the measures taken by the President of the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolis.
