The 14th Youth and Mediterranean Conference is essential for ensuring the protection of our beloved Mediterranean. Each year, the Youth and Mediterranean Conference brings together representatives from the 21 countries bordering the Mediterranean with the aim of developing and sustaining the REM, a network of grassroots stakeholders who unite to share practices, create tools, and launch awareness campaigns throughout the Mediterranean region.
After three days of debates and reflections, key players in the protection and awareness of the marine and coastal environment of the Mediterranean basin will conclude their meetings to explore the theme of climate change.
The actions that have been successful and already tested were presented to other stakeholders in order to find common, concrete, and sustainable solutions. This exchange of best practices has allowed delegations to consider solutions to the issues in their areas of intervention.
This event was organized by the Marine World Discovery Center, an association dedicated to environmental education and sustainable development, under the high patronage of the European Parliament. This structure is the bearer and facilitator of the Euro-Mediterranean Network.
For President Mr. Richard CHEMLA: “Everywhere in the Mediterranean, we care about our small piece of the blue planet that we must protect to leave a legacy for our future Mediterranean generations.”
