Sky enthusiasts, both amateurs and experts, were able to (re)discover the full richness of our sky through a rich and varied program. This area boasts an impressive astronomical heritage, making Valberg the ideal location for this event.
The creation of AstroValberg continues this commitment to preserving our ecosystem and combating light pollution. This festival is fully in line with the departmental GREEN Deal policy initiated by the President of the community, Charles Ange Ginésy, since 2017.
Charles Ange Ginésy, President of the Departmental Council of Alpes-Maritimes, President of the Intercommunal Syndicate of Valberg, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the event and looks even further ahead: “To pass on our commitments to future generations and delight astronomy enthusiasts, we are determined to continue our project of creating an Environment and Observation House, which will feature a 1,000 m² planetarium at its core. Completely unique and innovative, this project represents an additional step in permanently anchoring astronomy in the history and future of Valberg!”
