As with every new school year, the Family Allowance Fund (Caf) of Alpes-Maritimes is mobilizing to support and help young people take steps towards independence. Here are the details.
The transition to adult life often signifies major changes. Whether itโs leaving high school for higher education, landing oneโs first job, or finding oneโs first home, each step is a move towards autonomy. For this 2024 school year, the Caf of Alpes-Maritimes is offering personalized support, tailored advice, and an attentive ear to young people in the region, aged 16 to 25 years.
Today, one in two young people miss out on certain aids, whether related to integration, housing, or health, according to a study by the Observatory of Non-Take-up of Rights and Services. Often, itโs because young people are not well informed about their rights or the organizations that can help them. Additionally, administrative procedures can be complicated, making the situation even more challenging.
The Caf is reaching out to young people
To assist them, the Caf of Alpes-Maritimes is strengthening its support by going directly to the field. Advisors from the Caf of Alpes-Maritimes will attend student events and university campuses to inform and assist students about the available aids in the upcoming weeks and months. They will address housing aids, online guides, the activity bonus, the Young Rsa, and many more.
