The Château de Nice will once again be the natural stage for this grand politico-festive fair, which during the weekend will take over the usual games and strolling area of the Nice hill, a symbolic place for a popular event. This will be the 69th edition of the Château Festival organized by the Alpes-Maritimes Communist Party under the leadership of its departmental secretary, Cécile Dumas.
‘It is quite obvious that without the support of all the volunteers, we would certainly not succeed. It’s a true activist commitment,’ explains Cécile Dumas.
13 musical groups will keep the atmosphere lively because conviviality and a festive climate must not be lacking in such an event. On the political side (still), the departmental secretary made it clear that the communists will present a list with their leading figure for the first round of the next municipal elections. No names have been given at this moment, although hypotheses are being made and unmade.
This Saturday, 29th and Sunday, 30th, round tables and other forums will accompany the arrival of summer with a final meeting on Sunday at 5:30 PM, in the presence of European Parliament member Marie Christine Vergiat and the national spokesperson of the PCF, Olivier Dartigolles.
