MY DIET PILL (Rock โ€“ Nice)

In 1997, My Diet Pill aims to be an English band, accumulating radio-format songs, layers of distorted guitars, and “papapa” in its choruses. The lucky ones tour Europe, get acquainted with some not-so-unknown names (Dionysos, Chumbawamba, Baby Chaos), play after Blur in Nice, and exchange confidences with Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon. This is the time of the first compilations and the first demo.

In 1999, My Diet Pill decides to become a French band. They then play with Venus and get to know Miossec. After a first album warmly received by the music press, My Diet Pill heads to Jati studios in Rome to record a second album (released in 2004). This record, composed between Nice and Chicago, reveals 14 tracks (+1 three-track EP) of an indie/pop/rock sound flirting with folk and punk!

In 2005, My Diet Pill has taken time and begins to export itself. The few CDs sent abroad have been well received. And, not content with being played on American college radios, My Diet Pill gets a rotation on KEXP, the rock reference radio station. The same one that revealed Nirvana, The Posies, or Modest Mouse. The musicians can now buy sunglasses and speak with an American accent.
While waiting for the Californian university tour, My Diet Pill tours in France and prepares the release of an EP and a collection of bicolored badges that will perfectly accompany tweed jackets and denim jackets.

MAUPITY (Pop Rock โ€“ Nice)

Maupity is first and foremost an exotic and wild elsewhere, a lost islet under the winds of the Pacific from which the taste for escape and the sense of essential emerge. The music of Maupity, cheerfully blending Anglo-Saxon influences (Radiohead, Coldplay, Muse) with lyrics sung in French, is a product of this gap between the paradisiacal and the melancholic. Sometimes energetic and visceral, sometimes enigmatic and troubling, always warm, Maupity’s Francophile pop-rock tries to contribute to the renewal of the French music landscape.

Maupity is the utopia, the meeting point of four musicians determined to put their experience and complicity at the service of a true adventure.
Spotted by RTL2, a pop-rock reference, they find themselves in the finals of the “Prรฉ-Tendances Pop Rock 2004” and spread their music to Lille! They don’t win first place, but come out boosted.

The year 2005 starts on a high note. They secure a showcase as part of the “Talents du Sud” during the Midem period and rock the Fnac! Add to this the opening acts for Kinito and Superbus, or participation in the “Les Nuits Guitare” festival in Beaulieu, and Maupity seems to have everything to be happy.
It’s then that they decide to take a step forward by recording their first album, “Le Temps des Sรฉmaphores,” which is expected to be released at the beginning of 2007.
Alongside this recording, Maupity is a regional finalist in the RTL2 Pop Rock Tour and ignites the Virgin Megastore in Nice.

Over the performances, In Vitraux acquires the reputation of being a cohesive, authentic, and dynamic Rock formation.
The first self-produced maxi was released in autumn 2004, and its success led In Vitraux to record its first album “Deviations.”
The 12 tracks were laid down in four days with the energy typical of live conditions.
In Vitraux now aspires to share its music with an ever-wider audience.

AMADEUS TAPPIOKA (Pop Rock โ€“ Nice)

In comparison to “Quai nยฐ3,” their first opus, one can feel a certain “spleen” in the new tracks, but Amadeus Tappioka makes it a point (as this is the very essence of the band) to “land on their feet,” to glimpse a small piece of sunshine through the cloudsโ€ฆ
The album follows a storyline: the loss of a soulmate, and the more or less fruitful attempts to rediscover “the great thrill”; but life goes on despite the empty moments, and you have to hold on to still believe in happiness despite the disappointmentsโ€ฆ A page is turned, the world is ours, “we are in the world”โ€ฆ
Without losing sight of its primary influences (Muse, Radiohead, Mโ€ฆ), the trio now allows itself to flirt with numerous other musical styles (References to Rage Against the Machine or The Mars Volta as to Bรฉnabar or Louise Attaqueโ€ฆ) and literary ones (Boris Vian, Lautrรฉamont, Ionescoโ€ฆ) because it has found its place and now possesses its personal touch.
