The new Departmental Plan for the Elimination of Household and Similar Waste, established by the General Council, considers incineration to be inevitable and concludes that there is a need to build a new incinerator in the west of the department.
Considering that this solution is outdated, dangerous, unsustainable, and costly in the long term, citizens have formed a FORUM to work on alternative solutions and to promote those successfully applied in other regions. The issue is at the departmental level, which is why, after a founding meeting in Antibes, this second meeting is in Nice and will bring together people from across the department.
