edf_nice.jpg This new contract, lasting 20 years, includes 95.5 million euros of investments over the next eight years to improve the quality of the electricity supply by renewing and securing installations, creating a new source station in the city center to meet the expected increase in consumption and reduce the risk of outages, and deploying Linky smart meters, identified as priority elements of the energy transition by the Government.

It is accompanied by a partnership charter reflecting the City of Nice’s commitment to neighborhood democracy, social cohesion, electricity demand management, combating climate change, urban mobility, and smart city development.

Beyond a renewed contractual framework, this contract includes significant investments from ERDF to adapt the network not only to current uses but also to future needs.

It also includes, from EDF, a guarantee of supply to customers at regulated tariffs and actions in the field of combating energy poverty.
