ecole-entreprise.jpg Born in 2000 from a joint initiative of the Ministry of National Education and the MEDEF, the “School-Enterprise Week” is part of the agreement signed on July 19, 2004, between the President of MEDEF and the Minister of National Education, Higher Education, and Research.

The MEDEF of Alpes-Maritimes and the Rectorate of the Nice Academy, with the support of APREEAM*, ensure the implementation of the operation at the departmental level.
A strong partnership exists between companies and educational institutions, thus enhancing the actions carried out throughout the year.

This 7th edition is marked by a particular focus on the optional “Professional Discovery” course, which was generalized in middle schools in the fall of 2006.

*Association for the Promotion of Educational Relations with Companies in Alpes-Maritimes

– Objective: to develop links between the worlds of education and business:

  • Improve mutual understanding between the worlds of education and business.
  • Strengthen existing exchanges and partnerships and encourage new initiatives.
  • Establish an in-depth dialogue between teachers and business leaders over the long term, in a spirit of openness and reciprocity.

– The stakes:

For school principals, teachers, and business leaders:

  • Create the conditions for genuine dialogue, with a spirit of mutual openness.
  • Deeply understand the constraints related to each profession.
  • Recognize their respective contributions to the education and training of young people and their integration into active life, to work in complementarity.
  • Discuss major professions and their evolutions.

For companies:

  • Spread the entrepreneurial spirit by establishing lasting links between companies and schools.
  • Help students discover business life and show them its many facets, giving them a clearer view of opportunities in business.
  • Raise awareness of both the economic dimension of business (products, clients, process, development) and its human dimension (the business as a living organism composed of people with diverse skills and backgrounds).

For students:

  • Develop the taste for entrepreneurship and become aware of the positive values of business, as a place of wealth creation and personal development.
  • Motivate them and increase their desire to learn, to facilitate their integration into active life.
  • Allow them to be better informed and guided by having a clearer vision.

A large number of establishments in the Alpes-Maritimes department are participating again this year: 300 middle school students from 23 schools, 250 high school students from 13 general and vocational high schools, and 40 teachers.

A highly anticipated event for professionals, many local businesses are involved: transport, construction, catering, carpentry, tourism, mechanics, environment, etc.

Company visits, site visits, testimonials from entrepreneurs, employees, round tables, debates… Initiatives abound. All contribute to further intensifying the partnership between school and business.

Three key moments:

  • Video conference with Laurence Parisot, President of Medef
  • Screening of a short film
  • Interactive knowledge game about the economic world
