The digital information service for young people, La Boussole, officially launched its new “health” theme on July 4th, at the Maison de l’รtudiant in Nice. The event was an opportunity for users, health professionals, and sector stakeholders to learn more about the features and resources available on this tool.
Since its creation by the State in 2018, the platform has been working to support 15-30 year olds in their search for employment, training, and housing. However, aware of the specific health issues facing this age group, the government decided to open a new theme dedicated to health. Mouna Charny, animator and communications manager, explains that the goal is to “allow young people to access their health rights, even those they are unaware of.”
This new initiative comes at a crucial time when young people’s health is more than ever a central concern. Between issues related to stress, nutrition, sexuality, and social media use, young people face numerous challenges in maintaining their physical and mental well-being. La Boussole aims to support them in this endeavor by providing reliable information and tailored advice.
A practical, intuitive, and user-friendly tool
The platform offers a multitude of resources to help them take care of their health. With its intuitive and user-friendly interface, everyone can access themed fact sheets, articles, videos, and testimonials to learn about different health topics. Additionally, an online discussion space allows users to ask questions and interact with health professionals. It is a real added value in terms of availability and accessibility.
To enhance its health offering, La Boussole has partnered with many associations and health professionals. Through this collaboration, it can offer events, workshops, and online conferences on varied topics such as nutrition, stress management, and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. Young people can participate in these activities to deepen their knowledge and interact with experts.
