The conference on “the place of the disabled child within leisure centers” took place on Thursday, May 26, at Acropolis. It was organized by the popular education association Les Francas, presided over by Mr. Patrick GRIECO.
More than 200 people, including organizers and directors of collective leisure centers for minors, family representatives, representatives of medical-social institutions, and others from different organizations, participated in this event hosted by Mr. Sami CHENITI.
Sandrine FILIPPINI, delegate for disability at the City of Nice, and Mr. Lauriano AZINHEIRINHA, General Councilor of Alpes Maritimes, in charge of disability, honored us with their presence throughout the whole day. Dr. Ladislas POLSKY also spoke on behalf of the President of the Regional Council. The day was filled with testimonies and sharing of experiences regarding local initiatives, highlighting the need to coordinate resources and create a resource and support center for leisure centers. The main goal was to unite all stakeholders around a common commitment to welcoming disabled children within the leisure centers of Alpes Maritimes.
