The General Assembly of the Regional Olympic and Sports Committee Côte d’Azur will take place on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 7:00 PM at Skema Business School in Sophia Antipolis. “All this is just a brief overview of a busy year, but the promise of a fulfilled future,” says Alain Koubi, its president.
Seneca wisely said, “It is the past that must advise the future.” This is how the CROS Côte d’Azur is built, to be in a process of continuous improvement and perpetual development, in the service of Sports for all.
The Highlights of 2011
The year 2011 saw an increase in social cohesion actions, emphasizing the CROS CA’s commitment to this domain. The two flagship actions are the Tour PACA Corse, resulting from the partnership with DISP PACA CORSE, and the Jeux du Partage, the fruit of the partnership with the UNSS.
The CROS also asserts its commitment in the field of health. After a first conference in collaboration with the University of Nice and UPE 06, a vast program is at the heart of the agenda in cooperation with the League Against Cancer.
A major novelty and pride: the establishment of a Collective Sports Animation course which was initiated in 2011 with the opening of a BPJEPS Collective Sports Mention Basketball, Handball, and Volleyball. In 2012, this course will be expanded with the implementation of a Pre-Qualification in Collective Sports Animation professions, set to open next April.
In a completely different field, the CROS is engaged in supporting associative and particularly sports structures. Through its involvement in the DRA 06 platform (Regional Support Device), the CROS now covers almost the entire field of social and solidarity economy, where sports claim a predominant place.
Without forgetting the partners from the economic world, Casino, UPE 06, UPV, and UPR, which have been reinforced by the Caisse d’Epargne Côte d’Azur.
