Louis-Xavier Michel, President of the association La Semeuse, in partnership with the City of Nice and the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, will blow out the 10th candle of the Cultural Center “La Providence” tomorrow, this Thursday, December 13th at 5:30 PM, in the presence of the authorities and Gérard-Louis Bosio, President of the Cessole Foundation.
10th Anniversary of the Cultural Center “La Providence”
Since 2002, the association La Semeuse has been developing cultural and artistic activities throughout the year at its local cultural center “La Providence”, accessible to all: music lessons, visual arts lessons, classes in the Niçois language, a culturally oriented leisure center, concerts, conferences, exhibitions…
“La Providence” has become an essential location in the associative and cultural life of Nice. The contribution of the City of Nice allows the association to maintain and develop its schedule of activities and workshops offered at the heart of this cultural center for both young and old!
“La Providence” notably hosts Niçois artists such as the Ancient Music Society of Nice, the B.A.L theater company, co-productions with the National Theater of Nice, as well as international artists (United States, Japan, India, Ireland…).
A few numbers: this year, “La Providence” recorded more than 4,200 members, 200 volunteers, 3,500 spectators, 333 workshop members, 137 children within the leisure center, and 630 children benefited from targeted cultural awareness actions.
